Satyananda Yoga Ashram at Mangrove Mountain is a place where my
children and I feel deeply nourished and cared for, it is a place
where we learn wonderful ancient yogic practices, which help us to
be strong and to feel peaceful. My daughter and my son have attended
many children’s yoga programmes and each one of these programmes
has been filled with, music, drama, dance, picnics and indeed fun

My experience of ashram life

even one or two classes will feel an internal soothing cleanse and

A Stay in the Ashram

The pace and way of life takes a dramatic change the moment you
leave the reception office. Sharing a room with four strangers:
when is the last time your personal space was shared with total strangers?
Awakening to song at 5:30 am & walking around in the predawn
quiet surrealism. Trying to sleep at 8:30 pm - well there
is nothing else to do as you’re not supposed to talk to anyone – is
an exercise in frustration.
