LIVING YOGA OPTIONS

Seva is a Sanskrit word for selfless service. Discover its profound joys by volunteering to support the everyday running of the ashram. Seva retreats include daily yoga, chanting, yoga nidra and other ashram activities. Open your heart and expand your awareness by devoting your time and energy on these truly rewarding retreat experiences. Please bring old clothes, closed shoes and a positive attitude!

Ashram Life Satra

Minimum one month

Commit yourself to spiritual growth on an extended retreat with a program designed to support your individual journey. A mentor and other experienced teachers will support you as you experience deep healing and personal transformation. You will participate in daily seva, develop your individual practice, participate in regular ashram programs and expand your knowledge through discussion, satsang and study. Communal living with like-minded people provides extra potential for spiritual growth. This full immersion program will change your life! Intakes are on the second Sunday of each month.

Bush Regeneration

Weekend

Restoring the beautiful bush around Mangrove is rewarding on many levels. Removing weeds not only gives native plants a chance to flourish; the experience also works to remove negative impressions from your mind so your pure spirit may radiate. This ongoing project is open to anyone with a moderate level of fitness.

Farm Project

Weekend

This retreat provides a rejuvenating weekend of outdoor activities. Farm maintenance includes fruit picking, pruning, weeding and grass cutting. Tasks are adapted to suit all ages and abilities. You will enjoy yoga nidra outdoors and a picnic lunch.

Seva Week

5 - 7 days

Seva as a yoga practice is an ideal way to get a fresh outlook on life. You will practise seva all day as part of a team mindfully working together wherever help is needed in the ashram. Reading material and group discussions will support you in putting yoga theory into practice in everyday life. If you’re ready for a challenge, Seva Week is a gratifying and inspiring yoga experience.

Skills and Lifestyle

Minimum one week

Gain skills during your retreat while exploring what seva (selfless service) really means. You will spend half of each day helping with tasks such as gardening, food preparation and cleaning, while practising mindfulness. The rest of the time is yours to participate in regular ashram activities, read, relax, practise yoga or explore the surrounding countryside.

Fees:
Standard room: $275 / first week
Camping: $205 / first week

Best time to arrive: Sunday afternoon. Book in at least three days in advance.
