Arrival
Mangrove Yoga Ashram is in a quiet country location, 15km from any facilities and out of mobile phone range. For first time guests it is essential to arrive during daylight hours. For all guests it is most conducive to arrive when the reception office is open so we have the opportunity to meet with you on arrival, settle you into your room and show you around.
The reception office is generally open until 5pm. If you are unable to arrive prior to the closing time of the reception office please inform us so that we can leave a map on the door with your room details.
Guests are encouraged to arrive in time to register, settle into your room and find your way around before dinner at 6pm. For course guests, you are welcome to arrive from 3:30pm at no extra cost. It is also fine to arrive earlier in the day or even the day before and normal personal retreat fees will apply. Personal Retreat guests are welcome to arrive at any time from 9am to 5pm. Your stay is calculated from your time of arrival and fees based on 24 hour periods.
Driving Directions from Sydney:
On the F3/Highway 1, take the Peats Ridge/Central Mangrove exit off the Freeway (next exit after the Mt White exit). After 14.9 kilometres turn left into George Downes Drive marked "Central Mangrove & Wisemans Ferry". 2.4 km later turn left into Wisemans Ferry Road marked "Mangrove Mountain & Wisemans Ferry". After 16 km turn right into Mangrove Creek Road, travel 3.1km and on the right is Mangrove Yoga Ashram. This is a dirt road which is narrow and windy, so please limit speed to 40Km.
Note: If using a GPS, it may try and direct you down Pemberton’s Hill Road from Wisemans Ferry Road. Do not take this road as there are gates (usually locked) at the bottom of the road and you will have to turn around. Make sure you continue down Wisemans Ferry Road and turn directly into Mangrove Creek Road from Wisemans Ferry Road.
Note: If coming from Wisemans Ferry - There are major road works on Wisemans Ferry Rd at Gunderman Road from March to May/June 2012. Long delays are to be expected and could last up to 3 hours.
Driving Directions from Newcastle/North Coast:

After 18 km turn right into Mangrove Creek Road, travel 3.1km and on the right is Mangrove Yoga Ashram. This road is dirt please limit speed to 40Km.

Do not take this road as there are gates (usually locked) at the bottom of the road and you will be forced to turn around. Make sure you continue down Wisemans Ferry Road and turn directly into Mangrove Creek Road from Wisemans Ferry Road.
Buses to Mangrove Yoga Ashram
If you intend to travel by bus you must inform reception in advance so that we may arrange for a car to pick you up at the designated set down point. Should you miss the bus or change your travel arrangements, we ask that you notify us immediately.
Weekdays (Public School Days):
Departs Gosford train station from bus bay #6 at 3.22pm (Route 32: Gosford – Somersby – Mangrove Mt – Spencer).
Set down point Mangrove Creek Road 4.30pm (free pickup from here to the centre).
Weekdays (During School Holidays):
Departs Gosford train station from bus bay #6 at 3.22pm (Route 32: Gosford – Somersby – Mangrove Mt – Spencer).
Set down point Pemberton’s Hill Road 4.10pm(free pickup from here to the centre).
Saturdays: Departs Gosford train station from bus bay #6 at 7.20am and 4.50pm. (Route 34: Gosford – Somersby).
Set down point Somersby Shop 7.50am and 5.24pm
There is a cost of $40 for our driver to pick you up from Somersby shop.
Sundays and Public Holidays: There is no public transport to or from Gosford Station on Sundays or Public Holidays. Any lifts on a Sunday or Public Holiday must be pre-arranged with the ashram beforehand and a charge of $30 per person each way applies. We ask that you kindly call and discuss your travel requirements with reception as there are set times already pre-arranged for drop-offs and pick-ups on Sundays or Public Holidays.
