    Open Days are a great way to find out about Mangrove and the Satyananda Yoga tradition. Try out a yoga class and a yoga nidra. Enjoy lunch, take a tour and have your questions answered. There is also ample opportunity in the afternoon to visit the Laxmi Bookshop or simply enjoy time out in the ashram environment.

    The future vision of Mangrove’s farm project is in your hands….
    Get your hands dirty & enjoy this weekend with plenty of practical gardening sessions and some theory investigating ancient Vedic principles and contemporary ideas and concepts with guest lectures. This retreat is complimented with a balance of yoga and meditation, so get Zen this weekend by drawing on the ancient wisdom of yoga and find yourself moving forward to Eden…. Return as often as you like to continue hands on farm projects every month!

    Yoga Relax Weekend

    1 night (9.30am Saturday to 3pm Sunday)

    Develop the art of relaxation, learning postures, breathing and meditation techniques especially designed to help you relax, recharge and revitalise. This weekend is an excellent introduction to the yoga of this tradition and is perfect for the first timer or more experienced student wanting to deepen their existing knowledge and practice. A Saturday only option is available.

  • Yoga Intensive

    Yoga Intensive

    June Long Weekend (5pm Friday to 3pm Monday)
    Oct Weekend (5pm Friday to 3pm Sunday)

    Incorporates the four predominate branches of yoga: Karma, Bhakti, Raja and Hatha Yoga.

    Experience yoga with a fine balance of theory and practices, including reviews of each early morning yoga class. Be introduced to traditional Hatha Yoga techniques under the guidance of qualified yoga teachers. Gain insight and fine tune Surya and Chandra Namaskar (Salutations to the Sun and Moon) with the rhythm of the drum. Discover the world of yoga mudras (physic gestures), havan (fire ceremony) and kirtan. Weekend includes practical sessions in neti (nasal cleanse using salt water) and trataka (meditation technique using a candle flame to develop clarity of mind and focus).

    Classes will be lead by a variety of Satyananda trained teachers who offer different strengths in specialised areas of yoga. They will be able to lead you deeper into your inner self and answer all questions that arise.
