Prasad

Prasad means favour, blessed gift or object, something full of grace. In our yoga tradition the giving of prasad is an important part of our seva (service). One of Swami Sivananda's key instructions for living a happy, fulfilled life was to 'serve, love, give'

On these pages we offer you prasad in the form of teachings, practices and inspiration in the hope of spreading this grace from 'door to door and shore to shore'. Feel free to share these offerings with your family and friends.

You may practise raja, hatha, kundalini, mantra and bhakti yoga, but if you underestimate karma yoga, then all these yogas can lead you to a dissipated and dispersed state of mind. Everyone who is practising yoga should transform their daily activities through the philosophy of karma yoga.
